A World without Recycling - Edinburgh College of Art

After a future scenario presented the world with the question of “what would we do without recycling systems?” A solution was created that involved consumers making and producing their own paper-based products from their waste packaging. With so much of our products being delivered to our homes surely, we can aid the environment by utilising our own waste and transforming it into another useful commodity. The unideal future scenario was decided on as we now feel like single-use packaging is acceptable to manufacture as long as it’s recycled. But in actual fact, a small percentage is ever really recycled and energy wasted on doing so. So what if the public received their product, kept the packaging, and produced secondary products that could be used for everyday tasks.
