Solids

University of Iowa

“Platonic Solids are the fundamental five regular geometric solids (polyhedra). They are built of only one type of regular polygon. They include the tetrahedron (4 faces), the cube (6 faces), the octahedron (8 faces), the dodecahedron (12 equal faces), and the icosahedron (20 faces).”
For this Project we are given the task to create platonic solids from thick card and tacky glue, the challenges really lied in the accuracy of angles and having edge to edge seems. Also once the majority of the shape was constructed the task then became more difficult as you had less control in sealing the solid.
